Do you know a reasonable price for a locksmith to unlock one of these “twin hooks” steering wheel locks? I mistakenly locked mine up when I had only my spare set of keys....

Just get a portable angle grinder. Buy one if you can, they're pretty cheap at walmart. Will only take a second, and you can add a tool to your collection.

Well I don’t know where you live, but I’ve been through vehicle lockouts a few times. One dickbag charged me $120, changed the price on me after the fact. But then years later I used actual Dick’s Towing in my area and was like $67. Sucks buy what else can you do?

Picking it might also be a very valid option.

It’s not even on properly, the hook is supposed to straddle the spokes! I have one on my Z.

A locksmith will probably only offer to drill the lock out.

Offer a friend dinner in exchange for round trip services to get the key. It’ll be cheaper.

You can do the same thing thieves do to steal a car with one of those worthless devices on it.

They saw through the 1/4 inch steel ring in the steering wheel and bend it a bit and out comes your expensive lock. Takes about 30 seconds per cut.
